3. Outlier: From the Streets of St. Louis to a Self-Made Millionaire | Anthony Izear
Anthony Izear's story may seem like a rags-to-riches plot. But there is so much more to it.
For one, he is an incredible human, husband, father, and friend. If you met him, you would know his heart is kind, and he wants the best for those around him.
Yet, none of this came easy. Teachers told his mom he would be dead by the time he was seventeen.
Anthony was born in St. Louis, Missouri. An environment full of drugs, alcohol, and violence. Anthony's mother battled addiction, and his father was not present in his life. As a teenager, he was placed in juvenile detention centers and suspended from school 20+ times. He was one of nine children with eight different fathers. By the time he turned seventeen, he had moved 38 times.
But Anthony refused to let his circumstances dictate his future. Instead, he placed his faith in God and found an escape from the violence of street life through faith, prayer, and a positive mindset; this allowed him to succeed against all odds.
Anthony became a self-made millionaire in his 30's by starting multiple successful commences businesses, including fashion brands (LaLviv, OoLaLa, and The Islander), generating eight figures in revenue.
In this episode, you will hear what he experienced in that environment and how he got to where he is today. You will be encouraged by this story of resilience and hope for a better future.
He is currently writing a book and launching his organization called "WeAreLegends," which will share his story and help people develop a clear roadmap for winning in business and life.
